MommySecrets

Being a mom is the hardest thing I've ever done, but it has brought me so much joy! I want to encourage other moms on their journey, I'll share motherhood tricks, spotlight tips I've learned from friends, and I hope you will share your ideas. I will focus on secrets that help families stay balanced, healthy, frugal, creative, and closely knit. I will also share favorite fiction and nonfiction books that I have enjoyed. Many blessings to you on your mothering journey!

Disney Cruise - Magical Moments

Our family took a Disney cruise last week with extended family and friends. We went to Key West, Grand Caymans, Cozumel, and the Disney island. We had so much fun! It was truly magical and I feel covered by pixie dust. Some favorite memories:

  • swimming with the stingrays - and giving them kisses - in Grand Caymans
  • snorkeling in the aqua blue water of the Grand Caymans - the underwater world is so beautiful!
  • building sandcastles and playing football in the water on Disney's Castaway Cay island.
  • wading along the crystal clear shore - we found a live red starfish that was bigger than my DH's hand!
  • eating scrumptious food and trying exotic foods (caviar, escargot, lobster, crab, calamari, oysters, fish, veal, lamb...)
  • seeing a beautiful big red sun drop into the water at sunset
  • watching fireworks from the top deck of the boat in the middle of the ocean
  • fantastic theatrical performances
  • key lime pie on a stick in Key West
  • swimming in the Mickey pool and the goofy pool (with a jumbotron playing Disney flicks throughout the day)
  • date time - fancy dinners, sitting by the pool, playing scrabble, walking along the decks
  • watching the kids in the kid's club - playing games, erupting volcanoes, making flubber, decorating pillowcases, solving mysteries (it was incredible!)
  • observing the Disney staff in action - their service is top notch and they run a great ship!
  • being around staff and vacationers from all over the world - listening to their accents and their languages

If you love the sun, the water, and Disney, your family should consider a cruise. It's expensive, but it's worth saving for. We can't wait to go again!!
