MommySecrets

Being a mom is the hardest thing I've ever done, but it has brought me so much joy! I want to encourage other moms on their journey, I'll share motherhood tricks, spotlight tips I've learned from friends, and I hope you will share your ideas. I will focus on secrets that help families stay balanced, healthy, frugal, creative, and closely knit. I will also share favorite fiction and nonfiction books that I have enjoyed. Many blessings to you on your mothering journey!

Connect Four

I loved the game Connect Four as a child, and was excited when my mom gave it to the boys for Christmas.

My 6yr old is starting to enjoy the strategy of the real game, but my 3yr old (HAPPY BIRTHDAY B-BUG) enjoys a totally different part of the game. As you can see in the picture, he likes to organize the colors - sometimes in straight lines, sometimes alternating colors. He's not naturally very systematic or orderly, so this game is great for teaching him about simple patterns and systems - the foundation for math, science, languages and all kinds of learning!

Hooray for learning that's fun!
