Easy Appetizers - Nuts and bolts

My mom makes this recipe during the holiday season.  We love it!  It takes a long time to bake, but it's really just taking time to stir it in the oven every 15 minutes.  Other than that, it's very easy!


Nuts and bolts


2 sticks butter or margarine

9t (3T) worcestershire sauce

3/4 +1/8 t garlic powder

3 c rice chex

3 c corn chex

4 c stick pretzels

3 c cheerios

cashews, mixed nuts or peanuts--a cup maybe.  whatever looks good

Bake at 250 1 1/2 to 2 hours.  I stir every 15-20 minutes and when the 2 hours is up, I may turn the oven off an dleave it in there.
