Recipes for Smoothies, Juices, Nut Milks, and Tonics

This book came in the mail last week, and it has been intriguing our visitors ever since.  My 14-year old son flipped through it and asked if he could make one of the recipes.  Another 14-year old boy saw it on another day, and asked if he could borrow the book.  And a friend who is super into healthy living was analyzing some of the recipes beside me on Sunday.

The full title is: Green Smoothies: Recipes for Smoothies, Juices, Nut Milks, and Tonics to Detox, Lose Weight, and Promote Whole-Body Health.  There are 66 recipes, each with the following components:
a one-word description, such as savory, slightly sweet or sweet
pictures and words to describe the ingredients
directions
health perks:  both a sentence and icons to describe key benefits
a picture of the finished product.

It's beautiful and inviting.  The recipes are mostly made of simple ingredients that you can find at a large grocery store or healthy foods store.I look forward to working my way through the book, trying some of the author's recipes.  I would recommend this book to anyone that wants to ease their way into a healthier lifestyle by juicing and blending healthy drinks.
