MommySecrets

Being a mom is the hardest thing I've ever done, but it has brought me so much joy! I want to encourage other moms on their journey, I'll share motherhood tricks, spotlight tips I've learned from friends, and I hope you will share your ideas. I will focus on secrets that help families stay balanced, healthy, frugal, creative, and closely knit. I will also share favorite fiction and nonfiction books that I have enjoyed. Many blessings to you on your mothering journey!

Vegetable Snacks on Hand

I'm a snacker. I prefer to eat mini-meals throughout the day. I'm good about eating protein, dairy and fruit, but veges are harder. These are little tricks that work for me:

1. After unloading the groceries, cut up all the veges into bite-sized pieces and store them in tupperware. This saves time throughout the week, because you don't have to clean knives and cutting boards all week. You'll be much more likely to snack on the veges, because they don't require any prepwork during the week. You can also pull the same veges out to steam, stir-fry or grill for dinner meals.

2. Yummy dips and dressings - I love dill dip!

3. Add nuts, meats & fruit to salads.

4. V-8 juice
5. Multi-vitamins

6. Bribes - if I finish my carrots, sure, I can have a Hershey kiss!
